The October 3 CS2 update followed a series of fixes to Rush, silent reloading and the new crosshair system. The latest patch corrected grenade-crosshair rendering at a thickness of three pixels, improved Warehouse lighting and restored equipped gloves in the photobooth and buy menu.
The patch timeline

Crosshair sizes now use pixels
Valve’s September 24 explanation makes the new units easier to interpret: thickness, length and gap use pixels instead of the previous arbitrary scale. For a crosshair with one-pixel-wide bars, eight-pixel length and a four-pixel gap, those values are 1, 8 and 4.
The game also rescales the crosshair when the display resolution changes. Valve’s example uses a thickness of two pixels at 1280×720, becoming four pixels at 2560×1440 to preserve the same proportions. A resolution change can therefore alter the numerical values without changing the intended relative size.

New styles, outlines and share codes
September 24 added a static square style and half-outlines, which draw only the top-left parts of the outline. It fixed a zero-gap bug and reduced the minimum dynamic spread distance to 64 pixels.
October 1 added Static Quadrant and an outline-colour option. Classic dynamic crosshairs can use negative gaps, with alpha adjustments in 0.01 steps. Scope-dot scale and colour are now included in a revised share-code format. If you share your setup after changing these options, export a fresh code so the additional settings travel with it.
Grenade crosshairs also work during freeze time for instant smokes: hold a grenade attack button to display them. The October 3 fix specifically addresses their rendering when thickness is set to three pixels.
Rush and silent reload corrections
September 24 increased the maximum post-elimination countdown from seven to fourteen seconds in end rooms and Convoy. The countdown does not start when a whole team dies through suicides, team kills or disconnects. Warmup after all players connect, freeze time and technical timeouts were shortened.
Valve clarified the loading-screen rules, adjusted team-damage kick conditions and repaired gaps and collisions across several Rush rooms. Reload fixes removed a shortcut to slightly faster silent reloads, prevented silent reloading from increasing shotgun fire rate and addressed cases where a loud reload continued during an attempted quiet one.
What else changed on October 3?
Agents now display their equipped gloves during photobooth sessions and in the buy menu. Commend/report titles were corrected, Warehouse lighting improved, and new crosshair settings were added to the Workshop convar whitelist. Valve also listed stability improvements without specifying individual crash cases.
